Stormstar was wandering in the forest when he smelled a strange scent. He heard mewling, a cry of hunger and fear. He went toward it and found a small kit in hidden in some flowers in the meadow. The poor thing was skin and bones and could hardly even move.
"Praise God for letting me find this small kit alive," said the RiverClan leader with a smile. He picked up the kit by the nape of the neck and brought her back to camp. He had one of the queen nurse her back to health, but not before he brought her to the clan's medicine cat.
"Silverkit will be her name," said Stormstar to himself. "And I will mentor her myself."
He called a clan meeting and announced that this be her name... Silverkit.
